Lesha was feeling some kind of way and confused. She felt a connection to Carlos that she hadn’t felt in a long time.

She sat in the bedroom thinking and decided to test herself. Looking in her keepsake box she removed the handwritten card from her and Jason’s childhood, their photos, notes, and high school memorabilia. There was even a picture of Jason’s son that she’d pulled off of Facebook. To keep track of him and watch his life, she setup a fake account and friended him. It always brought back those old feelings. Wanting to hear his voice, she looked up Jason’s number in her phone. After dialing, her heart pounded as she listened to the ringing. Then a woman picked up.

“Hello…Hello?”

“Jason, please.”

The line was silent for a moment; she could feel the tension on the other end.

“Lesha, stop fucking calling us!” She said in a hushed but livid tone.

“You can’t stop us from being friends.” Lesha became emboldened knowing she was aggravating Destiny, the woman that had fucked up her life.

“Bitch, stop it now! Stop calling, texting, stop it!”

“Let me speak to Jason,” Lesha requested with poise and humor.

“You can’t handle him can you?” Lesha inquired.

“Bitch, you don’t know me, or my marriage!”

“I know the only reason he married you is because your daddy forced it. How is he doing by the way? I do miss the times we shared together. He was a good fuck.”

Destiny was furious at this point.

“You no good triflin’, nasty ass bitch!”

“Is that all you can say?” Lesha instigated with a pompous laugh.

“Bitch, don’t call here no more, Jason don’t want you! You got it!?”

Lesha sighed. “No baby, he was doing you a favor.”

Destiny groaned then shrieked, “BITCH I WILL KILLYOU, IF YOU KEEP CALLING HERE!”

Still smiling, Lesha retorted, “Well you have a nice day and tell Jason I said hello,” then disconnected the call.
